Cardinal Freeman Village – Stage 1, 2 and 3

STAGE 1 & 2
Cardinal Freeman Village is a large retirement complex undergoing redevelopment and new construction in a staged approach. Stages 1 and 2 have been completed, with Stage 1 delivering 55 independent living units split over two buildings that share a split-level basement, and the remodelling and upgrade of the Chapel under croft space with a heritage Façade. Stage 2 provided a building consisting of 40 units, offices, carpark, resident activity and communal areas, and a ground floor swimming pool. Stage 3 is currently in the design phase.
STAGE 3
The third and final stage of the development included the removal of the existing residential quarters to allow for construction of a further 106 independent living units over buildings 5, 6 and 7 of the village. The works also included construction of a new underground carpark, internal road adjustments, new ceremonial driveway, associated gardens, re-installation of preserved heritage gate and integration works with the existing village.
